The gardens, promenades and walking paths that form Bryant Park are some of the prettiest - and most accessible - in the heart of midtown Manhattan. The park is perhaps best known for hosting the tents of Fashion Week for more than a decade, but on a daily basis, it’s the heart of midtown lunchtime culture. Free seating dots the park (get there early or late for the prime people-watching spots) and you’ll be lunching outside with more editors, writers and television personalities from the surrounding media offices than you can shake a stick at. Secretly, it’s one of the best places in the city to find free Wireless, and in the winter, you can ice skate for no fee at the central “Pond.” It’s no wonder Bryant Park ranks among the top New York attractions for locals and visitors.

Top Attractions (3-5 attractions):

  • Le Carrousel in Bryant Park
    • Le Carrousel in Bryant Park, specially created to complement the park’s French classical style, is a homage to both European and American traditions. Its fourteen delightful animals, replicas of classic carousel creatures, revolve to the sounds of French cabaret music.
  • Bryant Park Boot Camp
    • Join The Rise NYC, a community-driven pop-up fitness group, for a Boot Camp on the Fountain Terrace, on the Sixth Avenue side of the park. This is offered on select dates and includes exercises such as crunches, planks, push-ups, and burpees. Please visit the calendar of events at bryantpark.org for specific dates.
  • Byrant Park Juggling
    • Test your coordination and dexterity with free juggling lessons in the park. All skill levels are welcome to join in the fun. Equipment is provided.

Dining:

During your time at the park, stop for a bite at any of the kiosks. Enjoy delights from Breads Bakery such as their heavenly chocolate Babka, savory sandwiches and salads and rustic baguettes. The versatile Belgian Waffle takes center stage at the Wafels & Dinges Bryant Park kiosk. Toppings include Dulce de Leche, Nutella, or Spekuloos ice cream which easily makes this perfect for any time of day.
